Arrive at your lodge and spend the evening exploring the neighborhoods of Patan, home to the spectacular Durbar Square. This area contains a beautiful collection of temples, statues, palaces, and opportunities to buy souvenirs and local crafts.
Day 2: Kathmandu
Spend the day exploring the Kathmandu Valley. Shake the jetlag with a visit to Swayambhunath, the “Monkey Temple”. Take in the views of the city from atop one of the most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal. Return around 1pm to spend the afternoon exploring the city on your own. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Birethanti
Catch a morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Travel by private van or jeep to Birethanti, the entrance point for the Annapurna region and enjoy beautiful views along the way.
Day 4: Birethanti to Ulleri
The journey begins! Trek past stunning waterfalls as you pass through terraced rice fields. This first day is a tough one. From the trailhead of Birethanti, ascend gradually for 2-3 hrs, stop for lunch, then transverse steep switchbacks to get to the village of Ulleri.
Day 5: Ulleri to Ghorepani
Continue your ascent climbing around 3,000ft. You’ll be exhausted but triumphant as you enter the hilltop village and get your first views of the magnificent Annapurna range.
Day 6: Ghorepani to Tadapani
Awake before sunrise and hike the steep trail to Poon Hill, known as one of the best vantage points for seeing the Himalayan dawn and enjoying the views of the mountains. Head back to Ghorepani for breakfast before starting your hike for the day. Follow the ridge to the east, passing through forests of rhododendron then descend to the village of Tadapani.
Day 7: Tadapani to Chomrong
Pass through Chule, a village that sits atop a lush green ridge, and soak in the views of Kimrang Khola. After a steady ascent, reach one of the last villages on your trek inside the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Day 8: Chomrong to Dovan
From Chomrong, pass through Sinuwa Danda, and move through the rhododendron forest before the climb to Dovan.
Day 9: Dovan to Deurali
Continue uphill along the bank of the Modi Khola valley through the lush forest before arriving in Deurali.
Day 10: Deaurali to Annapurna Base Camp
Hike through pristine forests, moving into the alpine region where you will reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp, also known as Mt. Fishtail. After lunch at Machhapuchhre, continue the final stretch to Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Start your descent from Annapurna Base Camp. It’s (almost) all downhill from here!
Day 12: Bamboo to Jhinu
Continue your descent from Bamboo to Jhinu. Weather permitting, the Jhinu Hot Springs will be a welcomed luxury for tired legs.
Day 13: Jhinu to Pokhara
On your final day on the trail, continue the descent to Syaulibazar where you will meet your jeep then ride to Pokhara. Enjoy dinner on your own in Pokhara as you celebrate the completion of your trek.
Day 14: Pokhara
Spend a day exploring Pokhara on your own. Visit local stupas, shop for souvenirs, or hire a boat to take you to Tal Barahi, a temple that sits on a small island in Phewa Lake. For anyone interested in Nepal’s indigenous history and mountain climbing, the International Mountain Museum is a must-see. End your day with a relaxing dinner at the hotel, or try one of the many restaurants offering Western or Nepali cuisine a short walk away.
Day 15: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner with your guides and fellow travelers.
Day 16: Kathmandu
Time to say goodbye! A OneSeed representative will take you by private car to the airport for your flight departure.
